Villa Sharm Terms & Conditions

 

Accommodation

The Villa is rented on a self-catering self-maintained basis.  On your arrival the villa will be clean for your use.  If you require housekeeping during your stay, please let us know your exact requirements prior.

Only the people listed on the booking form at the time of booking are permitted to stay at the villa.  Under no circumstances should any other person stay within the villa unless agreed in writing prior to arrival.  False information on occupancy is treated seriously and if over occupancy is detected, we will ask you to vacate the villa with immediate effect and you will lose your right to your security deposit and the remaining stay. 

The Villa Sharm has a maximum of four bedrooms with five double bedrooms available.  Three rooms are located on the 1st floor and one bedroom located on the lower ground garden level.  Please ensure that that you have requested the correct number of rooms as detailed on your booking.  Our prices are based on two people sharing a room.   If you have booked for less occupancy than the maximum of 10, bedrooms rooms that are not used will be closed.  We do not permit people to sleep on sofas and if this is detected a fumigation charged of £150.00 will apply.  Our costs are based on rooms required and discounted rates are given for smaller groups.   

The villa has a washing machine to facilitate the cleaning of linen for your use. 

During your stay at the villa, we expect you to take all reasonable precautions for the security and safety of the property.  Ensure you securely fasten all doors and windows when you leave the villa, even for a short time.  The alarm system must be set when the property is left unoccupied. The housekeeper will demonstrate the use of the alarm and code number.

Our housekeeper may periodically inspect the villa during your stay to confirm that rules are being adhered to.  WE will however inform you prior.

We will not be held responsible for any accidents in the villa and external areas. We recommend that children are always supervised.  There are small stones around the villa in the tree and plant beds. 

We cannot be held responsible for the withdrawal of amenities within the local area beyond our control. 

All personal items and valuables are your responsibility, and we will not be held responsible for them.   Some bedrooms have a safe for your use.  The combination can be changed to a unique code at your leisure.  Please ensure that safes are left open after your stay.  If you lock the safe after your stay, we will not have access to the safe and a charge will be mode for its replacement. 

The villa has its own BBQ and gas cylinder.  If the gas runs out, please inform our housekeeper who will arrange another one.  The BBQ is a non-maintained item, and we ask guests to ensure that it is cleaned before and after use. 

We will provide one bath towel and one pool towel for each paying guest.  We do not provide hairdryers, shampoo, conditioner or shower wash. 

Local Activities

There are many local businesses that can arrange a variety of activities such as Quad bikes, Speed Boat, day trip for snorkelling, Mountain Bike Tours.  The best idea is to Google what you want to do prior to arrival to ascertain exactly what is available.  Most excursion companies will collect you from the villa.  We are not involved in arranging activities and you do so at your own risk. 

Security System

The villa is fitted with a security intruder alarm system which must be used when the property is empty.   The main gate on to the property is key operated.  The villa also has a cctv system.  These security measures have been put in place for your peace of mind and NOT because there are and crime issues in Sharm.   Sharm has an exceptionally low crime rate.   The lock on the villas main entrance is a security lock.  The key is high security and cannot be copied or re-cut.  In the event that you lose the keys we will need to replace the complete lock and will incur a charge of £60.00 . The main gate to the villa is via a key. 

Swimming Pool, Jacuzzi & Heating

The swimming pool at the villa can be heated at an additional charge of £350.00 per week payable before your stay.  The pool will be cleaned on your arrival and checked every other day.  The expected pool temperature when heated is between 26-30 degrees.   This is however dependent of the ambient temperature of the outside air.   Please note that the pool has a deep section of 2.5 metres and all children and non-swimmers should always be supervised at all times.

We have a Jacuzzi located on the lower deck area which can be used and heated at an extra cost of £100 per week.   You must be over 18 years of age to use it.  Water is changed when new guests arrive.  Please do not take any glass items in or around the Jacuzzi or the pool.  There are plastic cups for this purpose.    If the pool or jacuzzi is contaminated and required cleaning, a charge may be made.

Travelling from the airport to the villa.

If you require us to arrange transportation to and from Sharm Airport we will be happy to assist.  Alternatively, you can arrange your own taxi at the airport.

Car Hire

To get around Sharm more conveniently you can hire a car.  You should look this up on google before you arrive.        You will need your UK / international driving license.

Taxis

Our housekeeper who lives opposite will be happy to put you in touch with a taxi service. 

BOOKING NOTES

In earlier advertisements we had an operational steam room and built-in coffee machine.  These items have now been taken out of service. 

Confirmation of Booking

A booking will be confirmed once that we have received your booking details and payment.   No occupation in the villa can take place until we have full details of all guests along with photo ID.

Time of Occupation

The villa will be available for occupation after 5pm on the first day of your stay and you agree to vacate by 12.00noon local time on the last day of your stay.  An earlier check-in or later checkout time may be possible if we do not have incoming guests.  This can only be confirmed nearer your arrival date. The only way to guarantee a late checkout is to book an additional day stay.

Security Deposit

A security deposit of £350.00  per person is required against any breakages and damage.  In the event of any charges being made we will advise you in writing. We will aim to return your deposit within ten working days of leaving the villa.   You will be held liable for any costs without limitation for making good any damages or losses to the property, its furnishings or contents during your stay as a direct result of your neglect or negligence.  If you break something, please let us know so that we can replace it.  Honesty is the best policy, and we take a positive view on this.

Balance

The balance of the rental will be two months before your stay.  We reserve the right to cancel the rental where the full balance has not been received within this time.  Where bookings are accepted within two months of departure, full payment will be required within 5 days.

Cancellation

If you cancel your holiday the following charges will apply.   

Cancelling more than two months prior to arrival £300 per week or part week.

Cancelling between one and two months of your arrival, 50% of the total booking cost.

Less than one month from your arrival 100% of the full booking charge will apply. 

In all cases your booking deposit is non-refundable if you cancel.  Your damage deposit however will be refunded in full.  We strongly recommend that you take out cancellation insurance cover in the unlikely event that you need to cancel your trip.  

Liability

During your stay we will not accept any liability whatsoever for death, personal injury, loss or damage to personal property however caused.  We will not accept responsibility for any ongoing construction or alterations being carried out locally beyond our control.

Technology

The villa has a lighting system that works from dimming controllers that allow you to dim main areas.   The movie server is a PC based system and works with the TV and surround sound system in the lounge.  Although these are not complicated to use, some people may find the technology confusing due to lack of experience on such items as they operate differently to your normal TV system at home.   The satellite system is general American moves channels.  An easy guide manual is supplied, and we are always at the end of the telephone to assist. 

In General

There are many things to do in sharm and we recommend that you research Sharm prior to your visit.  We are here to assist if you need advice and always available to talk to you.  Whilst you are in sharm we recommend installing whats APP  on to your smart phone.  This will enable you to communicate with us on the villas Wi-Fi free of charge.  The Wi-Fi is for general use and is not designed for downloading large files from the internet such as movie streaming. 

Force Majeure

We cannot be held responsible for or liable in respect of loss, damage or changes caused by force majeure such as strikes, closure of airports, floods, severe weather conditions or any other event beyond our control.  In the event of an unresolved dispute

Applicable Law of Jurisdiction

The law of Egypt South Sinai governs this agreement, and all parties shall submit to the jurisdiction of the courts therein for any disputes that arise.
